TPJ’s platform utilizes unique criminal justice and retail policies and procedures to guide store agents through the post-detention process.
Policy and Procedure Settings
The system ensures consistency and adherence to corporate and criminal justice policies through an intuitive interface, removing the risk of agents deviating from established protocols. Common protocols could include: case value limitations, age/juvenile limitations, warrant check procedures & prosecution criteria.
Retailers and criminal justice agencies may establish criteria for individuals to be released without law enforcement response, the system then guides the agent through this process. For individuals released without law enforcement response, the system guides the agent through their designated “Direct Reporting” process.
All Cases are Reported to Law Enforcement
This innovative process provides criminal justice agencies with new tools to communicate time-saving alternative reporting methods, and retailers with the security of knowing that the incident was handled appropriately by the criminal justice system.
Direct Reporting allows for lower detention times due to not having to wait on law enforcement response for qualified cases (90 minutes on average) and, therefore, reduces liability from the risk of the incident escalating.
The intelligent software ensures uniform processes through the wizard-style interface which guides the store agents through the appropriate incident handling processes. The system is quickly scalable and agents can cover multiple store locations without needing to adjust how they handle the case entry process.
The system provides quality control measures that require the store agents to answer all questions completely prior to moving to the next step and/or submitting the report. This feature ensures complete and comprehensive reports.
